Courses Offered

MBA is being offered as a two year full time management programme affiliated to Anna University, Tirunelveli, with a intake of 60 students per batch.

The department has a spacious exclusive library with rich collections of latest management literature of Indian and foreign syllabus accommodative books of leading international authors, a separate computer lab supplemented by a luxurious seminar hall and exclusive audio visual learning center which is equipped with

A separate placement cell is also efficaciously functioning in the college and a considerable number of our students have been recruited by leading companies.

Projects :

As part of the curriculum, students have to undertake two projects in their specialized functional area. On completion of the project, they have to present the contents of the project and a panel of faculty members evaluates the presentations. The idea behind this is to share the experiences they had in the real business situation amongst themselves. Seminar hall with all necessary audio-visual facilities enhance the students presentation skills.

Case Discussions :

Students are given real life Cases for discussion in the regular classes to simulate the real business world in the class room environment. These cases are taken from reputed business magazines, dailies and journal like

The cases for academic discussion are given to them prior to the classes so that they can come prepared for the discussion. Apart from these cases, a few specific cases are identified and a batch of students are assigned to each of these cases and is analyzed thoroughly over a period of time and presented in the students activity. The MBA Library and Internet at MBA computer centre provides wealth of information to the student.

Business Application Software Exposure :

As part of the curriculum, students have to undertake two practical oriented subjects which may give exposure to the real time practical applications of accounting, production, office management.

Management Games :

To improve the team building and organizing capabilities of the students management games are conducted every Saturday as a part of Student activities. The entire schedule for the student activities is planned and organized by the students themselves and finally approved by the faculty. These management games form a sort of simulation exercises on various functional areas of management. The entire morning session on Saturday is obsessed with these activities. These games enhance and bring out the organizing capabilities in addition to participation. This tremendously boosts the gut feeling of the students, which is much needed in the corporate adventures.

Business quiz, paper presentations, negotiations, management puzzles, marketing warfare etc., form part of student activities. This activity is conducted under the banner of Management Association (SMART). The association is guided by the department faculty.
