The Department was established during the academic year 2001-2002
The department was started in 2001. The department offered a full time four year B.E. degree program in ECE since 2001 with intake of 60 students. In 2009, the department intake has been raised to 90 students. The department offered a full time two year M.E degree in Applied Electronics since 2012. The department has a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members with competent academic expertise. The objective of the department has been impart quality education, training and research at the under graduate and post graduate level.

Program Education Objectives:
1. To provide sound foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to analyze, formulate and solve engineering problems.
2. To provide knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering subjects, relevant engineering experience in designing and conducting experiments as well as analyzing the significance of the experimental data.
3. To inculcate the professional and ethical attitude, effective Communication skills, skills in Industrial, academic and research, teamwork, multidisciplinary approach, an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context, and life-long learning to become experts in their profession.
